ONEONTA No injuries were reported in a two-car accident at the intersection of Elm and Walnut this afternoon, but I’m sure the local auto body repair Shop will be getting some business!

Jackie Itgen, a junior at Hartwick College, was driving up Elm Street to her Gamma Phi Delta sorority house when the accident occurred. Her SVU flipped on its side, and the Oneonta Fire Department had to rescue her out of the back of the vehicle. She declined medical treatment. But it wouldn’t surprise me if whoever wasn’t at fault in a minor car accident could potentially receive payment with the help of a personal injury lawyer. When it comes to the compensation of personal injuries gained through an accident similar to this it is important to understand the update to minor injury guidelines to ensure that you are getting what you are entitled to.

The other driver, in a Chevy Cavalier, was a minor and was transported to the hospital as a precaution. Whoever is responsible for this will need to make sure that they are willing to take the blame for what happened and hire an attorney to handle their case, the same can be said for the other people involved in the accident, they need to speak to lawyers too. If you have been in a car accident you will need to contact a car accident attorney in Macon or one that is more local to you.

The investigation is continuing.
