Betty L. Dean, 83; Librarian at SUNY Oneonta ONEONTA – Betty L. Dean, 83, a librarian at SUNY Oneonta for a decade, passed away, Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Ballston Spa, where she was living. She was born April 11, 1935, the daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Butler) Shaw. After high school, Betty went to work at the Mirror Recorder in Stamford. She then transferred to the Times Journal in Cobleskill, where she worked as a bookkeeper.…
