IN MEMORIAM: Wayne R. Bennett, 53;

Troy Native Lived In Burlington Flats

BURLINGTON FLATS – Wayne R. Bennett, 53, who owned a snack-food distribution business for more than 25 years, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2019, in Cooperstown .

Wayne was born on April 11, 1965, in Troy, the son of the late Richard R. and Patricia E. Collins Bennett.

Wayne married Kathy Vibbard on April 21, 1990, and moved to Burlington Flats from Troy in 1996.  He was a skilled woodworker, and enjoyed collecting guns, talking politics, and target shooting with his friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife Kathy Bennett of Burlington Flats; son Austen R. Bennett of West Winfield; brothers Robert (Kathleen) Bennett of Watervliet, Bryant (Scott) Bennett of Rensselaer, his in-laws Kenneth and Velma Vibbard, Deb Vibbard, Ken Vibbard Jr., Kevin (Kirstin) Vibbard, and Kyle (Kim) Vibbard. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edmeston Emergency Squad PO Box 111 Edmeston, NY 13335 in memory of Wayne.
