WOMEN PLAN

A 2nd MARCH

Buses Going From Oneonta

ONEONTA – Buses are planned from Oneonta to a second anniversary Woman’s March in Washington D.C., planned 10 a.m.-5 pm. Saturday, Jan. 19.

“Join us,” said organizer Amy Pondolfino in an e-mail that went out today.

Riders will board the buses late-night Friday the 18th, arriving in D.C. Saturday morning and returning that evening. Tickets are $80 each by contacting Pondolfino at BVIndivisible@gmail.com or 607-267-0493 for details and payment. All tickets must be paid in full by Friday, Jan. 4, to guarantee seats.

“We in Oneonta and surrounding areas have been inspired to participate in what we hope can become a truly inclusive movement for social justice,” the organizer said. “The march centers around a variety of issues, especially women’s rights, humane immigration policies, affordable health care, environmental protections, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, freedom of religion, and workers’ rights.”

Everyone participating “is expected to abide by all applicable laws and lawful orders of authorities,” Pondofino cautioned.
