YMCA Junior Firefighters Given

Up-Close Look At EMT Helicopter

Participants in the annual YMCA Jr. Firefighters program, which is held at the 6th Ward Booster Club, got an up close and personal look at the Life Net EMT helicopter from flight nurse Lindsey Stone, who landed in the park on Tuesday afternoon for the program. The YMCA Jr. Firefighters program teaches children fire safety and is made possible through a collaboration between the Oneonta YMCA and the Oneonta Fire Dept. with assistance from Life Net, Oneonta Police Dept. and the State Police K-9 unit.
Participants in the annual the Oneonta Family Y’s Junior Firefighters program, held at the 6th Ward Booster Club Playground, got an up-close and personal look at the LifeNet EMT helicopter from flight nurse Lindsey Stone, who landed in the park this afternoon. The Junior Firefighters program teaches children fire safety and is made possible through a collaboration between the Y and the Oneonta Fire Department with assistance from LifeNet,the  Oneonta Police Department and the State Police K-9 unit.
