15 New Plow Trucks

To Join County Fleet

County Highway Superintendent Bill Mason said today his department is replacing its plowing fleet, and 15 Peterbilt tandem plow trucks, automatics with air-ride suspension, pictured above being prepared for delivery at Viking-Cives Inc., Harrisville, near Watertown.  The trucks should be delivered, two a week, between now and Thanksgiving, Mason said, who said CDL drivers are being recruited to drive the trucks.  County Treasurer Allen Ruffles said the $2.779,000 purchased will be financed at 3.04 percent over the next five years.
