Dr. Zukas, Hospitalist, Joins Fox Staff
ONEONTA – Hospitalist Robert A. Zukas, D.O., has joined the staff of Fox Hospital.
Dr. Zukas earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Duquesne and his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Saint Anthony Family Medicine in Oklahoma City, and is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians
He practiced for the last three years at Saints Family Medicine in Norman, Okla.
The hospitalist service is a team of physicians and mid-level practitioners whose primary focus is the care of hospitalized patients and is available to all patients at Fox.
As a hospitalist, Dr. Zukas will discuss treatment options with patients, answer questions for patients and their families, obtain consultations when needed, monitor test results and respond to any changes in patients’ conditions.
He will work closely with primary care physicians and/or other specialists at Fox to ensure excellent inpatient treatment is provided.

Dr. Zukas, his wife and five children have re-located from Norman to Hartwick, and are looking forward to the county’s outdoor offerings
