IN MEMORIAM: Jeanne Fleury, 69;

Mother Of Former City Councilman

ONEONTA – Jeanne Louise Fleury, 69, Nanuet, Rockland County, mother of former Oneonta Common Council member Chip Holmes, passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, after a long illness.

Jeanne grew up in Andes, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Anne Fleury.  She formerly lived in Oneonta.

In addition to her son and his wife Stephanie, she is survived by daughter Stephanie (Eric) Baumes of Nyack; three grandchildren, Sophia Baumes, and Porter and Beckett Holmes; sisters Carol (Bill) Bachman of Lew Beach, also in Rockland County, and Loretta (Earl) Hebbard of Delhi, and Chris (David) Abarca of Hudson, Fla.; brothers, Richard (Karen) Fleury of West Oneonta and Stephen Fleury of Strafford, Fulton County, and many nieces and nephews including a very special niece Noralina Fleury.

There will be no calling hours. A private family service will be at a later date.
