City Woman Charged With Accepting

$10.5K Unemployment While Working

ONEONTA – State Police report arresting Carla M. Gagliano, 33, of Oneonta, Tuesday for receiving $10,500 in unemployment benefits when she was actually working at Astrocom,Town of Milford.

She was chared with grand larceny, third degree, and offering a false instrument for filing, first degree.

This arrest occurred after an investigation which was started by the state Department of Labor.   Troopers allege that from March 2014 through March 2015, Gagliano had been receiving unemployment benefits when I fact she had been working.

Gagliano was arraigned in the City of Oneonta Court and was released.  Her next court date is on April 19.
