Banks Act As Drop-Off Points

As Church Fire Destroys Pantry

MILFORD – Community Bank branches across Otsego County acting as food-pantry drop-off points after the Milford United Methodist Church fire earlier this month. The church operated a food pantry, lost all of its supplies in the fire.

All local branches have collection sites in their lobbies through April 21. Community members are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items into their local branch to donate to the effort.

“We are more than a bank, we are members of the community, and going the extra mile for our neighbors is a fundamental part of our values,” said Michael Walling, Community Bank N.A. district manager.

The branches will also participate in dress-down Fridays through April 21 to collect donations from employees for the pantry.
