Evoked At Hyde Hall

With stunning Otsego Lake as a backdrop, the 77th Regimental Balladeers perform “Battle Hymn of the Republican” on Hyde Hall’s front lawn during the National Historic Landmark’s first Civil War Weekend.  At right, members of New York’s 125th Regiment reenactors – clockwise from front, Jacob Manley of Hartwick, Dave Houghton of Colonie, John Orlop of Esperance, Richard Manley, Jacob’s dad, and Bob Peterson, Clifton Park.  Sunday, the reenactors will be hosting visitors at their camp until 3 p.m., plan a chapel service at 9:30 a.m. and a 1860s military drill at 11.  Mansion tours (tickets at Tin Top) are offered through the day.  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
