IN MEMORIAM: Ruth Bell, 90, Oneonta

ONEONTA – Ruth (Silvernail) Bell, 90, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side on Dec. 9, 2017.

Ruth loved to travel, play cards, music, gardening with her husband, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean (David) Christensen and Joan (Ron) Martini; grandchildren, Amy (Justin), Brad (Jessica), Marissa (Jeff) and Mary (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Matthew, Chloe, Mason, Wyatt, Waylon, Jordan, Jaelyn, and Jenevie; brothers, Mike (Karen), Fred (Dottie), Neal (Elaine), and Larry (Julie); sisters, Joeann and Sharon (Skip); as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased in March 2016 by her husband of 70 years, James Clifford Bell, who retired from the D&H; and her siblings, Lester, Clifford, Howard, Wesley, Marion, Nita, Frances, and Donna.

A private burial will be at a later date.
