Missing From Pierstown

Belle Lord

COOPERSTOWN – State police are looking for a elderly woman in Pierstown who has dementia.

Belle L. Lord, 89, left a residence on Sunset Ridge Road, Town of Otsego, around 10:30 a.m. today, in her vehicle, a silver 2008 Toyota Solara convertible with a black top, troopers report. The vehicle is bearing North Carolina plates with the registration BHL 7498.

Troopers believe she could be heading to her last residence in Wilmington, N.C., but she did grow up in Queens and could be heading there.

Belle Lord is described as having red hair, green eyes, she is approximately 5-foot-3 and 70 pounds. She could possibly be wearing a black double breasted long wool coat and have a turquoise and black Vera Bradley purse. She also has a white terrier mix dog with her that has a pink collar and pink leash.

We all hope that Belle Lord is found and brought home safely. If you know someone who suffers from dementia and is struggling to live on their own then perhaps you want to check out this hospice care facility for people who are in that situation. They provide care so that sufferers of dementia can live without the risk of situations such as this.
