BAGWELL, RAINES, ‘PUDGE’

IN HALL OF FAME THIS YEAR

COOPERSTOWN – Baseball Hall of Fame President Jeff Idelson announced a few moments ago on the MLB Network that three retired Major Leaguers will be inducted into the Hall of Plaques this July in Cooperstown:

  • Jeff Bagwell, produced more than 100 RBIs in eight of 15 seasons with Astros. Finished career with 449 homeruns, more than any other Astros player.
  • Tim Raines, scored 808 runs in a 20-year career, fifth highest in MLB history, and was one of the most productive lead-off hitters in the game.
  • Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez is considered one of the best defensive catchers of all time.
