Lived In Cooperstown, Died In Texas

Brendan Owen

COOPERSTOWN – Word has been received that Brendan Patrick Owen, 55, who worked on Wall Street and lived in Manhattan and Cooperstown, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, in Fort Worth, Texas, where he had settled.

He was born May 13, 1964, on Long Island, to the late John and Ellen Owen.  His father was a lawyer in Cooperstown and Otsego County public defender.

He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and worked on Wall Street for several years.

Survivors include his siblings, Mary Kay Owen, Downington, Pa., John (Patty) Owen, Colleyville, Texas, Christopher Owen, Bronxville, Timothy (Kathleen) Owen, Charlotte, N.C., and Michael Owen, The Bronx, as well as a niece and two nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was held at St. Joseph’s Parish, Downington, Pa.

A celebration of Brendan’s life will take place in Cooperstown this summer.  Burial will be private.
