Out-of-state visitors were among the volunteers at Habitat for Humanity of Otsego County’s work site at McFarland Road in Oneonta on Saturday, August 5. Green Wave First in League, Eliminated from Tourney

The Oneonta Green Wave was eliminated from the American Legion District 6 tournament with a tough loss to Endicott at Binghamton’s Conlon Field on Wednesday, July 19. The contest was a tight pitchers’ duel, but Endicott broke away with three runs in the final two innings to win 4-0. Cannabis Store Opening Ceremony is Next Saturday

U.S. Army veteran and filmmaker Korey Rowe will open DOSHA, a legal cannabis retail store, on Main Street in Oneonta on Saturday, August 12. Anderson Family Holds 100th Reunion Saturday

Descendants of Burrit L. and Mary Amanda Walling Anderson will convene in the Wilber Park Upper Pavilion on Saturday, August 5. Dead Man Found at Fox Hospital Was Exeter Kidnapping Victim

The man found dead in a public restroom at AO Fox Hospital on May 31 was the victim of the infamous April kidnapping case in Exeter, the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday, July 20. Michael A. Morton, 32, of West Winfield, entered Fox some time on the evening of May 30. He died of an accidental drug overdose and was found at 10:30 the next morning.…

Charter Review Committee Meets

The Charter Review Committee of the Oneonta Common Council met on Thursday, July 20 to discuss potential changes to the city’s governing document.
