To Disagree – Respectfully

CCS student Natalie Schieber, reads a statement on behalf of classmate Josie Hovis at this evening Community Vigil at the flagpole in front of Cooperstown Central:  ""We can't control who hurts us or who wins an election, but we can control how we react."  Other speakers were Principal Donna Lucy, and Bobby Walker, a senior and founder of the Otsego County Young Republicans, who said to his fellow party members, "We won. Clebrate and joy is natural and expected.  DO NOT confuse mockiery and insults with these ... Remember, it could have easily been the other way."  In asking for a moment of silence, Lucy said "the intentions are peace, unity, comfort adn hope for our community and our nation."  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com_
