IN MEMORIAM: Charles Briscoll, 83;

Former Partner In S&S Liquor Store

ONEONTA – Charles Briscoll, 83, partner in a former Southside Mall liquor store, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, at Fox Hospital.

He was born Aug. 25, 1934. He attended Oneonta High School, then joined the Armed Services.

Returning home, he was a jeweler at Gallin’s Jewelry, then a liquor salesman before partnering with his daughter, Sharon, in S&S Liquors in Southside Mall.  (She now runs Best Wine & Spirits.)

In addition to Sandra, his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Wilsey O’Donnell and her husband, William “Chef Billy O” O’Donnell of Oneonta; a son, David Briscoll of Orlando, Fla., and granddaughter Elissa Wilsey of Chicago.
