 Chief Nayor Gives Final Report,

Receives Standing Ovation

Outgoing Oneonta Police Chief Dennis Nayor delivered his final Public Safety report to Common Council tonight, formally announcing his last day as Jan. 22, 2017, before he starts his new duties as Director of Research, Development, and Training with the NYS Association of Chiefs of Police. "The city is in good hands and it has been an honor to serve you," he said. "Now I'll be able to apply to 'Oneonta Model' to affect policing around the state."  He received a standing ovation from the Council at the end of his remarks. (Ian Austin/AllOtsego.com)
