Community Bank’s $20,000

Assists Cancer Fight At Fox

Mark Tryniski, left, Community Bank president/CEO, and Radiation Therapist Roy Doremus, right, look into the eye of the Foxcare Cancer Treatment Center's linear accelerator.  Tryniski was at FoxCare today to deliver the final $20,000 payment of a $100,000 pledge the bank made toward the 2012 purchase of the advanced apparatus, which more accurately pinpoints tumors and treats them, avoiding the need for more intense radiation.  Behind them are, from left, Jeff Lord, Commercial Banking team leader, Joe Sutaris, bank vice president, and Jeff Joyner, Fox Hospital president.   "These cutting-edge treatments are changing the landscape of cancer treatment, making radiation therapy an open for many more patients than ever before," said Joyner.   He also thanked the Dewar and Robinson Broadhurst foundation for helping cover the accelerator's price.  (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
