IN MEMORIAM: Constance Gallup, Oneonta

ONEONTA – Constance Gallup passed away Aug. 7, 2018 after a lengthy battle.

She will be missed by her family Kim Nelson, Priscilla Davis, Joanne and William Fisher, Bunnie and Jack Hand.  Her many friends including Sue, Levi, Karen, Diane, Gary and notably Mary Peterson will also miss her dearly.  Not one to forget a birthday or a phone call, Connie loved her nephews and nieces.

She has gone home to be with her husband, Bud; sisters, Adelaide and Lori and her mom and dad, Winfred and Percy Young.  We know we will see her again where she is most likely hanging out with some Dolphins and constantly laughing.

Killer Knapp Dies In Prison; Guilty In SUNY Coed’s Death ONEONTA – Ricky Knapp, the man convicted of the 1977 death of SUNY Oneonta student, has died in Mohawk Correctional Facility, according to prison records. Knapp, 66, died March 8, having served 40 years of a 25-to-life sentence for a 1978 manslaughter conviction in the death of 18-year-old Linda Velzy, a SUNY student from Long Island.
