County To ‘Micro-Mill’ Route 22
From Schuyler Lake To Richfield
COOPERSTOWN – The county Highway Department, with Contractor Suit-Kote, will be “micro-milling” Route 22 from Schuyler Lake to Richfield Springs, beginning Monday, county Highway Superintendent Bill Mason reports.
This process is designed to remove wheel ruts and surface distresses, he said. The milling will be immediately followed up by shoulder widening, using the reclaimed millings.
The milling and widening work is expected to be completed that week. Later in the fall, a finish surface treatment will be applied.
