EDMESTON  – State police report arresting a Town of Pittsfield couple for allegedly steeling redeemable bottles and cans dropped off as a donation to the local Boy Scout troop.

Gerald D. Webb, 51, and Ann M. Laurenti, 49, both from Pittsfield, were charged Tuesday with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, troopers at Richfield Springs report.

Police responded to a complaint of theft from the Boy Scouts drop-bin on South Street, Town of Edmeston.

Webb and Laurenti were issued tickets returnable to the Town of Edmeston Court on November 28, 2016.
