Cyclists Donate Winnings To Girls On The Run
Members of the CNYC/NYCM Insurance Bicycle team Marc Kingsley, center, and Taylor Brose, left, present Jill Feury, Council Director with Girls On The Run with a donation of $250 the team won from a first place finish in the Cazenovia Hill Bender last Saturday. The program, which encompass five counties, is a 10 week after school program that helps girls in third to eighth grade build self esteem and with the goal of running a 5K race. “A lot of girls would be unable to participate if it wasn’t for donations like this to help subsidize costs,” said Feury. “It’s a really great cause,” said Kingsley. “We are glad to support an event like this that gets girls outside and builds confidence.” (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
