Delgado Visits Coast Guard,

Unpaid During U.S. Shutdown

U.S. Rep. Antonio Delgado, D-19th, visited the U.S. Coast Guard’s Aids to Navigation team at Saugerties on the Hudson River over the weekend to reassure sailors who are going unpaid during the government shutdown.  “We’re talking about a military department, the first in history that has not been paid,” he told WAMC yesterday.  “So I want to just make sure, tour the facilities, understand the dynamics here on the ground, and let them know that I’m here to help any way that I can.”
