Felicia Weaver Arc’s Top Employee Of 2015

ONEONTA – The Arc Otsego has named Felicia Weaver, RN/Residential Services, as the 2015 Arc Otsego Employee of the Year.  Weaver and the Arc Otsego 2015 Employees of the Month were honored Wednesday at a luncheon at Brooks BBQ.

“Felicia’s work ethic embodies The Arc Otsego mission, vision and values,” said Executive Director Patricia Knuth in announcing Weaver’s selection.  “Felicia supports people to be as healthy as they can so they can participate in goals and objectives to lead a full and fulfilling life, she establishes that people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities deserve the same health care as any other person and she clearly demonstrates that each person, employee or person receiving services, makes unique contributions to the community in which they live.”

According to Weaver’s supervisor, Karen Bazan, Health Services coordinator, “Felicia is smart, respected, is a great resource, and makes sound practical and in-depth nursing decisions.  She is an incredible asset to our Health Services Department and well-deserving of this honor.”

The Employee of the Year is selected from among the individuals who received Employee of the Month honors in 2015.  According to Erin Seeley, Chair of the Arc Otsego Employee Recognition Committee, staff members are nominated for Employee of the Month based on exemplary achievements in one or more of five categories:  positive attitude, leadership and initiative, advocacy, commitment to quality, and cost savings and efficiency.

In addition to Weaver who was the June 2015 Employee of the Month, the following Arc Otsego Employees also received Employee of the Month honors:

  • Michelle Gilbert, Direct Support Professional;
  • Joe Pagillo, Residential Site Manager;
  • Cesily Secoolish, Employment Specialist;
  • Kim Barnett, Habilitation Assistant Float;
  • Stacey Folts, Direct Support Professional;
  • Suzanne Soden, Assistant Director of Employment Services;
  • Nikki Bush, Direct Support Professional;
  • Amy Dai, Medicaid Service Coordinator;
  • Lori Gray, Administrative Assistant; and
  • Dylan Bassani, Employment Specialist.

The Employee of the Month receives a choice of a paid day off or a cash award.  The Employee of the Year receives a cash award.
