IN MEMORIAM: Lora E. Kanzler, 72;

Worked For County For 37 Years

COOPERSTOWN – Lora Ellen Kanzler, 72, an area native who worked for the county for nearly four decades, passed away on Nov. 10, 2019 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida following a brief illness.

She was born on Nov. 6, 1947 to Thomas William Pollette and Pearl Grace Roberts Pollette in Cooperstown, New York.

Lora graduated Cherry  Valley Central School and was employed by Otsego County for 37 years before her retirement.

She married John W. Kanzler on Oct. 18, 1969 and resided in Middlefield, New York before moving to Micanopy, Fla in 2005. She really enjoyed her family, friends and her beloved pets.

Lora is survived by her husband John, sister Gloria Deuel, nephew Ryan Griffith, one aunt Beulah Waid, sister-in-law Dorothy Konchar and many special cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service is being planned for a future date.

Memorials or donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or The Susquehanna SPCA in Cooperstown, New York.
