Jeanne Dewey Sworn In

As Cooperstown Trustee

Jeanne Dewey was sworn in a few minutes ago as Cooperstown village trustee by Village Administrator Teri Barown. Dr. John Dewey holds the Bible for his wife. The Deweys had been visiting daughter Sarah in Nashville when the Village Board was reorganized a week ago Monday, so she was unable to be sworn in then. The new trustee then performed her first official duty, presiding at this afternoon’s village Parks Board meeting.   She was appointed by Mayor Ellen Tillapaugh Kuch, whose election as mayor on March 20 created the vacancy.  ( Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
