IN MEMORIAM: JoAnn K. Gravelin, 70;

Office Manager At Oneonta Rent-A-Wreck

JoAnn Gravelin

LAURENS – JoAnn Gravelin, 70, of Laurens, office manager at Rent-A-Wreck until her retirement, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2018, at Bassett Hospital.

JoAnn was born on April 7, 1948, daughter of the late Benjamin and Marian (Harris) Keator. JoAnn married her high school sweetheart, David Gravelin, on April 22, 1967, in Laurens.

JoAnn loved to cook, garden and have family gatherings during the holidays. Her family was always her first priority, and she had a deep passion caring for them.

She was a member of the Oneonta Business Women’s Association.

She is survived by her three children, Michael D. Gravelin, Mark D. (Cristy LeVeille) Gravelin, and Melissa D. (Duane Thowe Jr.) Gravelin; sister, Donna (Al) Black; sister-in-law, Donna Gravelin; three grandchildren, Mackensie D. Gravelin, Michael D. Gravelin and Maison D. Gravelin-Thowe.

JoAnn was predeceased by her husband, David (Daisy); and brother, Roy Keator.

The family will receive friends at the Johnston Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 17. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, at the Johnston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allen Presby officiating. A burial will immediately follow in Laurens Village Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in JoAnn’s name to your local SPCA.
