Lumberjacks Do Battle

In Damaschke Field

Nathan Waterfield, Cherry Valley, organizer of the lumberjack competition held in Damaschke Field this weekend in the Hot Shots event where competitor try for best time in cutting through a 23" thick log in seconds. The saw he is using is customized and features a snow mobile engine. Then event, no win it's second year, featured 24 men and 10 women. Organizer Nathan Waterfield, Cherry Valley, saws through a 23″ log in the Hot Shots section of the Stihl Lumbersports Professional Northeaster Qualifier, held this afternoon in Damaschke Field.
