After giving birth to her children, Mary worked for many years as a secretary. She also worked at Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce before and following retirement.

She and Richard were both devoted to the church and their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Mary enjoyed bird watching, gardening, canning and spending time with family, friends and animals. She especially loved talking on the phone with her sister, Beth. Mary spent her final years in sunny Orlando, Florida.

Mary was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

She is survived by her sister, Beth Himes; children, Richard Kinney Jr., Margaret Oakley, Susan Brewer and Ted Kinney; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law; and one son-in-law.
