Names Released In

Fatal Davenport Fire

DAVENPORT – The names of the victims in Friday’s fatal apartment fire in Davenport have been released, according to state police.

Kiley J. Sullivan, 3 and Cody E. Sullivan, 1, died as a result of the fire at 498 Dehning Rd., in the town of Davenport. Their father, Carmen E. Sullivan, 44, was taken to Upstate Medical in Syracuse for burn juries.

According to Steve Hood, Director , Delaware County Office of Emergency Services, the fire is believed to have started in the Sullivan’s apartment. By the time the East Meredith Fire Department was on the scene, shortly before 2 a.m., he said, the fire was already through the roof.

All but one of the building’s  seven residents were home at the time of the fire. The four apartment building had two two-bedroom and two one-bedroom apartments. No other injuries were reported.

State Fire Investigators are assisting with the investigation and a cause has not been determined yet.
The investigation is continuing.

  1. My poor beautiful babies!! But this article is a little false… the father Carmen Sullivan did go to a burn center but had no burns or smoke Inhelation at all!! His wounds were from “punching a snow bank”!!! Wish I still had these 2 amazing babies in my life!!! AB
