 Paul J. Lambert, 87; Community

Leader, Former Superintendent

COOPERSTOWN – Paul J. Lambert, former Cooperstown Central superintendent of schools, passed away late Wednesday night, Dec. 27, 2017, at Bassett Hospital.  He was 87.

In addition to CCS superintendent, he was a principal, and later director of the Clark Foundation Scholarship Program, as well as a coach and well-respected member of the community.

He was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather, whose children include county Judge John Lambert.

Arrangements are pending, and a complete obituary will be forthcoming.

Arrangements are entrusted to Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home.

  1. A great man. Always quick with a joke or to light up a smoke and there was nowhere else to he wanted to be. A legend at CCS.
