Ray Han, 85, Noted Artist
Lived In NYC, Cooperstown

COOPERSTOWN – Raymond G.J. Han, a noted artist and sculptor, whose works were subject of a one-man exhibit at The Fenimore Art Museum in 2015, passed away April 18, 2017.
He was a longtime resident of New York City and of Cooperstown, where he had maintained a home and studio since 1972.
Born Sept. 29, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii, he studied at the Honolulu Academy of Art before moving to New York to study at The Art Students League. His work was shown in several group shows in New York before he joined the Robert Schoelkopf Gallery, where he remained for 12 years until Robert Schoelkopf’s death; he then joined the Forum Gallery. He was currently represented by the Jason McCoy Gallery, also in New York.
