IN MEMORIAM: Raymond J. Oliver, 79;

Oneonta Vet, State DOT Signal Operator

ONEONTA – Raymond J. Oliver, 79, passed away in the comfort of his Oneonta residence on Sept. 6, 2018.

Raymond was born on Oct. 9, 1938 in Oneonta, a son of the late Walter W. and Velma (Kelsey) Oliver.

For many years, he was employed by the Department Of Transportation (Signal Department) as a Railroad Signal Operator. Raymond was also a proud veteran,  having served in the Army in 1961-1963.

At Raymond’s request, his services will be held at the convenience of his family at Evergreen Cemetery in Otego.
