Roseboom Woman Crochets Flag

For Centers Health Activity Fund

Lorraine Nelson of Roseboom, left, sits in the Centers Health lobby (formerly Focus) in Index today in front of the second American flag she has crocheted to raise funds for the nursing home’s activity fund. With her is resident Claire Cardinale, formerly of East Springfield, who is organizing the raffle. Tickets at $1 apiece or six for $5, and can be purchased in the lobby most afternoons. The drawing will be July 7. Nelson, who has worked at the nursing home for nine years, said she has been crocheting since she was a teenager, and began by crocheting tote bags for residents, and expanded from there.
