Sheriffs Raid Plainfield Meth Lab

PLAINFIELD — The Otsego County Sheriffs department shut down a meth lab and arrested the owner during a raid on Friday.

Jamie J. Bowee, 48, was arrested after investigators responded to a 911 call of an active methamphetamine lab in his home in the Town of Plainfield.  The NYSP Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) processed the scene, finding a “one-pot” methamphetamine laboratory, as well as precursor chemicals, reagents, solvents, and lab equipment.

They also found evidence of the unlawful disposal of lab material, small amounts of methamphetamine, and about one ounce of methamphetamine oil.

Bowee was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance fourth degree, a class C felony, Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the third degree, a class D felony, Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material, a class E felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor.

If convicted on all charges, he faces up to 27 years incarceration.
