Silent Auction Underway

For Smithy Arts Center

Komron Ostovar, Cooperstown, questions the Smithy Art Center's Kristin Bergene about items in the silent auction, now underway at 55 Pioneer St., Cooperstown, leading up to the live auction, with Don Raddatz and Mike Stein as auctioneers, that will be part of the Smithy's third annual fundraiser 5:30-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 30.  The live auction, which begins at 7:30, will include such items as a ski house in Tahoe, SCA members' art, a water skiing/tubing adventure on Otsego Lake with a packed lunch from Black Cat Café, and donations from the Cooperstown Distillery. In Memoriam: Harmon V. Swart II

Harmon V. Swart II, 78, of Cooperstown, New York, formerly of Westfield, New Jersey, passed away January 1, 2026. He was born August 5, 1947 in Orange, New Jersey, to John and Ruth Louise (Martini) Swart.
