Susquehanna Basin Water Trail Team Celebrates Grand Opening

Following in the footsteps of the New York State Canalway Water Trail and the Hudson River Greenway Water Trail, this new route traverses eight counties and covers 190 miles of river from its headwaters in Cooperstown to its final destination in Corning. Trustees Discuss HoF Weekend, Public Safety

Local Laws 2-5 were passed by the trustees. Local Laws 2-4 involve parking—Number 2 prohibits parking on the east side of Brooklyn Avenue, Number 3 prohibits parking on Upper Main Street from Grove Street to Averill Road, and Number 4 allows overnight parking on Fish Road in Lakefront Park from November 1 through April 1 on the east side of the roadway.…

Trustees Talk Fees, Possible Dog Park, Fairy Spring Plans

Viewing Platform Project Plans on Hold

Discussion of the proposed Lakefront Park viewing platform project has been tabled for the time being, following Monday night’s informational meeting, led by Delta Engineer Director of Landscape Architecture Michael Haas, and the subsequent Village Board meeting. Haas reviewed plans for the platform, which was to be installed at the northern terminus of Pioneer Street, in Lakefront Park. The plans received push back from members of the public as well as some village trustees.…
