Board Expands Emergency Housing

The Otsego County Board of Representatives authorized the Department of Social Services to contract for 10 additional rooms for emergency housing at Motel 88 in Oneonta at its meeting on Wednesday, August 2. The $621,000.00, 18-month contract doubles the number of rooms at Motel 88 and brings DSS to a total of more than 60 rented rooms at local hotels. Heroin, Crack Seized at Motel 88

Heroin, Crack Seized In Raid At Motel 88 ONEONTA – More than 71 bags of heroin and crack cocaine were seized during a raid at the Motel 88 on Chestnut Street in Oneonta. Jason R. Chase, 33, Cortland, was arrested following a no knock search warrant in room 241 at Motel 88.
