OTEGO – The Otego Elementary School is back on the market.

Citing “multiple delays,” the Unatego School Board announced today it has “terminated” its agreement with AgZeit, the indoor agriculture firm in Endicott, and has reissued its RFP – request for proposals – to find another developer for the school building it decided to sell last year.

The new proposals are due by 3:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7.

The RFP says the property consists of a 47,800-square-foot, two-story building on slightly less than 5 acres.  The school board is “looking for proposals that will be beneficial to the village and a good fit with the needs of the residents and school district.”

AgZeit’s winning proposal bested proposed by the Kildonan School in Amenia, Dutchess County, to develop a center for children with dyslexia, as well as proposals looking to convert the Mission Revival style building into senior citizen housing.
