IN MEMORIAM: Marilyn J. Sinstack, 93;
SUNY Graduate Raised Family In Oneonta
ONEONTA – Marilyn J. Sinstack, 93, a SUNY Oneonta graduate who raised two children here, passed away peacefully, Feb. 21, 2019, at the home of her daughter, JoDee Kogut in Hamilton.
She was born April 30, 1925, in Cambridge, Washington County, the daughter of the late Guy D. and Marion (Moon) McClaughry. She graduated from Greenwich High School in 1942 and attended SUNY Oneonta, (then Oneonta Normal School).
She married George Sinstack in Greenwich on Feb. 1, 1946.
Marilyn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oneonta. She was also a lifetime member of the Fox Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, JoDee (Paul) Kogut of Hamilton; son, Gary (Penny) Sinstack, Oneonta; her four loving grandchildren, Lisa Mitchell, Karen Kogut, Nicholas Sinstack and Caitlin Sinstack; as well as six great-grandchildren, Jacquelyn Mitchell, Nathan Mitchell, Lauryn Mitchell, Ryan Dunn, Max Dunn and Raelyn Sinstack.
At Marilyn’s request there will be no calling hours or services at this time. A committal service will take place in Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
