Thomas Blau Jr., Schuyler Lake,

Retired County Probation Chief

Retired since 1994, thomas Blau enjoyed horse-racing and the New York Yankees.

SCHUYLER LAKE – Thomas Blau Jr. of Schuyler Lake, retired director of the Otsego County Department of Probation, died peacefully at home on June 25, 2019, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Union City, N.J., on Aug. 13, 1931, to Thomas Sr. and Anna Blau.

Tom grew up in Rockville Centre, L.I., and attended Saint Paul’s School, Garden City. He received his bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry from the University of Maine in 1954.
