Worcester Wins Another $111,000

To Create Its New Public Library

ONEONTA – State Sen. Jim Seward, R-Milford, today announced another $111,374 for renovations of an adjoining 19th century mansion as the new home of the Worcester Free Library, among $700,000 library construction grants forthcoming in his 51st District.

Other winning libraries in Otsego County are:

  • $48,047 for insulation and asbestos abatement at Oneonta’s Huntington Memorial Library
  • $34,894 for restoring the windows at the Village Library of Cooperstown
  • $25,703 to expand the Springfield Library into an adjoining room at the Community Center
  • $26,801 for a new furnace and rehabilitation of Hartwick’s Kinney Memorial Library
