Smithy Tree Comes Down

Workers from Tallman Tree Services worked this morning to cut down the maple tree in front of the Smithy Gallery in Cooperstown. The tree removal is part of the $1.2 million reconstruction of Pioneer Street. The tree will be milled locally and used by Smithy artists for their artwork. (Parker Fish/AllOTSEGO.com)
