Oneonta 10th-Best-Educated

Upstate Locality, Survey Finds

ONEONTA – Our City of The Hills is the 10th best-educated community in Upstate New York, according to a survey by www.newyorkupstate.com.

It found 44.4 percent of the population age 25 and over has a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Brighton, the Rochester suburb, was ranked #1, with 49.9 percent of adults having a bachelor’s or higher.

Cooperstown didn’t make the top 50 ranking.

  1. If you’ll read the article about the top educated upstate communities, they only included those with a population of over 4000. So Cooperstown would have not been included at all.
