LAURENS – Kevin Perry, 23, arrested for shooting his parents Timothy and Solveig in their home in Laurens a week before Christmas, Friday pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder, according to reports.

Perry was arrested after crashing his father’s stolen truck in Schoharie. His sister Rebecca had discovered their parent’s bodies earlier that evening and notified Otsego County Sheriff’s Deputies that the truck had been stolen.

During his arraignment on Dec. 18, Rebecca told the judge that Perry had been intoxicated and agitated earlier that day. She left that evening to visit a friend, and upon returning, she found her father’s body in the kitchen.

Her two children, Alyssa, 4 and Logan, 1, heard her cries and came out of the back bedroom. She then went to her mother’s room and found her face down on the floor, also deceased, then ran next door to the home of her uncle, Joe Perry, to call 911.

Perry is expected to be sentenced Friday, Oct. 19.
