Bassett Names Ronette Wiley

To New Post Of Hospital COO

Ronette Wiley

COOPERSTOWN – Bassett Healthcare Network today announced the appointment of Ronette Wiley as executive vice president and chief operating officer at the Cooperstown medical center.

Since 2008, she has been vice president of performance improvement and care coordination, and chief compliance Officer. She also served as interim administrator for hospital operations in 2015-16 during the search for the Bassett Healthcare Network COO.

This appointment creates COO for the hospital separate from the healthcare network’s. Andrew Manzer, appointed network COO a year ago, will “focus on system operations and continued operational integration” across the eight-county network, said Dr. Vance Brown, Bassett CEO, in announcing Wiley’s appointment.

In her previous role, Wiley was involved in accreditation, risk management, patient safety, infection prevention, patient flow services, corporate compliance, care coordination services, managed care, and pastoral care.

Recognized as a leader in patient safety, she was the seventh individual in the state to obtain professional certification in patient safety (CPPS). She is a member of the Healthcare of New York State Council on Quality Initiatives, and recently co-chaired the state Partnership for Patients initiative on hospital readmission prevention.  She is a member of The American College of Healthcare Executives.

A native of Brookfield, she lives in the Town of Richfield with her husband, Scott.
