Hartwick College’s 86th Graduation

At Oneonta Site Sends Off Class of ’17

Hartwick College senior Demi Manesis, top photo, who was honored at an Otsego County Chamber Intern Of The Year for her work with the Oneonta Fire Department, rings her replica of the Yager Hall bell given to each graduate, and was today at the conclusion of the college’s 86th commencement on Oneonta’s Oyaron Hill.  (The college traces its history to 1797 and John Christopher Hartwick’s founding of Hartwick Seminary).  At right, Wendell Frye, professor of German and the college’s oldest professor , receives  the Margaret B.
