Chipper Jones Expresses Awe

He’ll Be Joining Hall Of Famers

Posing with his wife, Taylor, next to the spot where his plaque will be placed on July 29, Chipper Jones was still grasping the idea of calling himself a Hall of Famer as he toured the Plaque Gallery at the Baseball Hall of Fame this afternoon. “I don’t feel worthy by any means,” said Jones when asked about being inducted. Jones went on to discuss his experience touring the Hall of Fame. “It’s been a really cool experience so far,” said Jones. “We did the tour in a couple hours, but I could spend a couple weeks here just going through the boxes of artifacts downstairs.” Jones will return to Cooperstown on July 29, for the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where he will be joined by Jim Thome, Vladimir Guerrero, Trevor Hoffman, Jack Morris, and Alan Trammell to make up the 2018 Induction Class.
